Friday 29th April 2016: 11.58pm. Just watched Deadpool. It had a few laughs, but otherwise not great, and less entertainment than that mediocre Avengers movie a few summers back. Ryan Reynolds playing Will Ferrell didn't work at all for me, if you want a Will Ferrell then hire Will Ferrell. I will say Morena Baccarin looked amazing in this movie, she's older than I am with babies behind her and she not only looked like she's late twenties but also wasn't a forced character like Ryan's. I have to admit I'm not sure about Ryan, he's been mostly average roles but without a really superb role like say Matthew McConaughey had by this stage in Ryan's career (McConaughey had a near Oscar winning role very very early in his career in a racial legal drama, he really showed the guy can truly act as the very best, then followed about ten years of drivel before he improved form). Of late these comic book hero movies really haven't been great.
