Monday 17th November 2014: 8.56am. The house next door is up for sale: €75,000 asking, so probably less than seventy. There are advantages to the Irish economic crash ... Imagine no more rent to pay and mortgage fully paid off after ten years! Still, it's too small for us, even this house which is much bigger and with nicer trim feels cramped. I can only imagine what losing the garage and 20% of your floor space would be like. And of course there are no jobs here ... A minor but important factor ...
