Two of these finally turned up today, plus a similar bed. They're the first furniture I think I've ever bought apart from a work chair. Solid pine throughout, they're Brazilian and very cheap for solid wood, only slightly more expensive than IKEA. Construction quality is generally good. And they'll help solve the many boxes of books in the hallway. One does wonder slightly about the sustainability, they claim they're from southern Brazil where they employ the indigenous peoples in high tech factories using only sustainable wood. They certainly have plenty of output anyway, these appear all over the world in volume, and all very cheaply.Go to previous entry | Go to next entry | Go back to the archive index | Go back to the latest entries |
